Carol Brinkman is a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner with 43 years of nursing experience, including 23 years as a family nurse practitioner. Early in her career, she spent 13 years in a multidisciplinary clinic alongside physicians, chiropractors, physical therapists, and massage therapists, where she was mentored by a world-renowned Functional Medicine physician who trains providers globally.
That experience inspired her to pursue Functional Medicine training through the IFMCP (Institute for Functional Medicine Certified Practitioner), and it has shaped her approach to care ever since.
Carol helps patients uncover the root causes of their health concerns, then guides them toward optimal health through nutrition, lifestyle changes, bioidentical hormones, and supplements. She works with patients from childhood through older adulthood, specializing in hormone balancing, thyroid and adrenal dysfunction, food sensitivities, gut microbiome health, mold toxicity, and genetic factors.
Carol holds a BSN from the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul, a Master’s in Education from St. Mary’s University in Winona, and a Master’s in Nursing from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth. In 2016, she and her husband opened Forever Young Two Medical and Skincare – the first privately owned, nurse practitioner-owned clinic in Minnesota. Originally in Monticello, the clinic is now located in Waite Park, Minnesota, and she also practices in Brentwood, TN, serving as a go-to hormonal specialist in Central Minnesota and beyond.
At the heart of Carol’s practice is a simple belief: the patient comes first.
She listens carefully, encourages active participation in healthcare, and partners with each patient on their journey to lasting wellness.
