Can Botox and Dysport Reduce Wrinkles?

Over time, the muscles above and between the eyebrows repeatedly contract and tighten, causing wrinkles. Prescription Botox and Dysport injections both reduce muscle activity, temporarily preventing the contraction of the muscles that cause frown lines. You see natural-looking results that last up to four months. Untreated muscles still operate normally—your overall ability to form facial expressions remains intact, so you’ll still be able to face the world with a smile.

With just 1 injection into each of 5 points between and over the eyebrows, Dysport and Botox block the signal from the nerve to the muscles, ultimately resulting in a reduction of muscle activity and temporarily preventing contraction of the muscles that cause frown lines.

Treatments generally take just 10 to 20 minutes, although treatment times can vary from person to person.

Safe and Effective Botox and Dysport Injections

Neurotoxin treatments such as Botox and Dysport are proven safe and effective. The most common side effects of neurotoxin treatments are nose and throat irritation, headache, injection site pain, injection site skin reaction, upper respiratory tract infection, eyelid swelling, eyelid drooping, sinus inflammation and nausea. You should wait at least 90 days between treatments.
